1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using JarvisCodex ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

JarvisCodex is a desktop application that provides AI-assisted software development capabilities including code generation, file editing, terminal command execution, and multi-model AI orchestration. The Software executes code locally on your machine.

3. Account & Subscriptions

  • You must create an account to access paid features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. Prices are listed on our pricing page.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.

4. Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK)

JarvisCodex supports using your own AI provider API keys (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). When using BYOK:

  • API requests are sent directly from your machine to the provider.
  • You are responsible for any costs incurred with AI providers.
  • We do not store, proxy, or have access to your API keys beyond local encrypted storage.
  • JarvisCodex applies zero markup on token usage.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.
  • Use the Software to generate malicious code, malware, or exploit systems without authorization.
  • Share your account or subscription with others.
  • Attempt to circumvent license validation or subscription checks.

6. Intellectual Property

Code you generate using JarvisCodex belongs to you. The Software itself, including its interface, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of JarvisCodex and is protected by copyright.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

JarvisCodex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated code should be reviewed before use in production. We are not responsible for errors, bugs, or security vulnerabilities in AI-generated output.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JarvisCodex and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Software ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
